One of the youngest members of the Tech team, Carl Castillo is a fourth year BS Computer Science student at UP Visayas Tacloban. He previously interned at GAPLabs and then at Channelfix, a startup in Cebu, before finding his way back to GAP as a Junior Web Developer.
Carl is a pensive person with unique interests, such as Japanese shoegaze or shoegaze in general - a music genre that’s mostly about pure sound rather than visuals. He’s into philosophy and the sciences, and he sees all mediums of art as equal - in that one medium isn’t better than the other. Carl might enjoy being ‘passive’ and not giving a care, but he’s actually a romantic who likes watching romance movies. He wants to get married but not have kids and, probably, teach in college when he’s older. His aspirations are to help his four siblings finish their education and direct his own low-budget movie.
